CfP: New Voices at the Leeds IMC 2018

Following the two very successful New Voices sessions that took place at the International Medieval Congress in Leeds earlier this month, submissions are now being sought for the panels in 2018. Thank you to all of the participants, and to those of you who supported the sessions by attending them.

Call for Papers: New Voices at the Leeds IMC in 2018

The International Society of Anglo-Saxonists invites submissions for its ‘New Voices in Anglo-Saxon Studies’ sessions at the 2018 International Medieval Congress in Leeds (2–5 July 2018). The New Voices sessions are intended for all scholars new to the field of Anglo-Saxon Studies, including research students, newly-appointed lecturers and anyone who has only recently begun to work in this area. Papers can be on any aspect of the Anglo-Saxon period and submissions are particularly welcome on the IMC’s 2018 theme: ‘Memory’.

All submissions for New Voices are reviewed by the Advisory Board members of the International Society of Anglo-Saxonists (ISAS), who determine the ultimate selection of papers through a process of blind peer review. Submissions should include a paper title, abstract outlining the subject of the paper (no more than 250 words), and your institutional affiliation and contact details. These should be sent by email attachment to mccavell@gmail.com by Thursday, 7 September 2017.
